WHO
WE ARE
House Brand Farm is owned and operated by Kristy Fearis. House Brand Farm marries Kristy's competition track record with a clear focus on structured horse and rider development; born of decades of training and developing herself and her own horses. Kristy's dad put her on horse when she was three years old, she climbed down briefly when she was ten to change to an English saddle, started learning to jump and never looked back. In the years since that first ride, she has competed across the USA in classes from pre-green hunters to Grand Prix jumpers, three day events and dressage.

Success in equine sport requires a disciplined, multi-facted approach to all aspects of training and preparation. Forty years of riding and competition have given us a guiding ethos.
OUR
ETHOS
Working together to develop a well rounded and thoughtful program is essential for success. We then actively address each of the key program areas, in order to progress your partnership towards its goals.
We will develop ride plans, and execute them (equine partner willing). Competitive riders always have a plan. Planning helps you, as a rider, focus on the important pieces of your ride that are key to successful execution.
We will work on those skills that improve your weaknesses as well as build upon your strengths so that you can consistently ride your plan
We will work together to execute your plan, and overall your program, with discipline. Work at it and you will see transformation.
Realistic goals help with planning as well as focus. They also motivate you to work hard. We will set and revisit goals to keep you on a path of improvement.
Your horse is your partner. As with any relationship, you must work together to be successful. The strongest partnerships are between those that help each other with their weaknesses.
It is proven that riders ride better and horses go better when their rider is fit, has good core strength, and balance. We will work to optimize your fitness out of the saddle to reap the benefits of being fit when you are in it.
A horse needs to be fit enough to do the job we ask. In a fitness-building phase, be mindful of how your horse feels and adjust your plan to accommodate his needs. Their fitness controls their ability to perform.
Riding is as much of a mental exercise as a physical one. We will dedicate time to the psychology of improving focus, mental fitness, and being in the right frame of mind for your ride or competition.
